Kelly Coyne grew up in Asheville, North Carolina and is a graduate of Appalachian State University. While at Appalachian State she earned an undergraduate degree in Public Health and a Master’s Degree in Higher Education. Kelly also has an MBA from Queens University of Charlotte. Kelly is currently the Director of Residential Services at United Family Services in Charlotte where she had been since February of 2008. Prior to working with United Family Services; Kelly was the Director of Violence Prevention with Johnson C. Smith University from where she was responsible for the implementation of a Federal ‘Grant to Reduce Violence Against Women On Campus and worked for over 4 years in a shelter in rural Western North Carolina.
